In April of 2008 Dr. Mintern with assistants Heather Poole and Donna Doiron went to Dallas Texas to take a coursse in CAD/CAM dental restorations. After completeing the course Dr. Mintern purchased an E4D machine for this office. In the past crowns had to be sent out to a dental lab to be customized.The tooth would be prepared, a temporary crown would be made and there would be a wait of about two weeks while the lab fabricated the crown.Now with the E4D technology a tooth can be prepared and the crown fabricated and inserted in one appointment.
